Friendlies
This year there were friendlies most weekends but many had to be cancelled as we
couldn’t raise a team. Members thought:
Happy to have our usual early match against Looe but not perhaps against Wadebridge.
We should limit the number of friendlies during the busy months of June and July.
To hold Club friendlies, one early on as a practice and perhaps another later in the
season.
Not to have friendlies too far away, especially with the cost of fuel
Continue to have a mixture of Saturdays and Sundays.

Presentation Dinner

Dave Burrough proposed that we have a presentation dinner in late January/early
February. It was agreed that we hold it at the Hoi An (The Westberry) again as
everyone enjoyed the evening there this year.

Finals Day

Steve Iles suggested that we hold a finals weekend for the Club Competitions and make
it more of a social event. This was agreed and it will be held on 4 th and 5 th September.
Club Pairs and Triples
It was suggested that these competitions be held earlier in the season if possible.
Social events during the winter
Steve Iles suggested that we hold social events during the winter. Although this has
been tried in the past, with limited success, everyone was happy for Steve and Christine
to organize something.
Open Triples competition
Following the success of the Centenary Triples competition the Committee will look into
the possibility of holding a similar event early next season.

New Mats

As our mats are worn and slippery Steve Iles had looked into the cost of new ones -
approx. £190. Dave Burrough, Annie Singer and Penny Philp will look into the possibility
of available grants.

Emergency Contact List

Stephanie Symons thought all members should keep a card, with their emergency
contact details and any medical issues, in their bags in case they are taken ill. This had
been thought of before but not followed up on. It was agreed to ask Annie Singer to
facilitate.

Hard Back Centenary Books

Committee to check with Phil Taylor regarding the printing of these books.
